ATS resume checker for cybersecurity roles
A required certification or clearance is often a hard filter, followed by the SIEM, EDR and frameworks you've used. Check your resume against a real posting and see exactly what to fix. Free, no sign-up to start.
What the ATS and recruiters check
- Required certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GCIH or OSCP, often with an "or" between them
- Security clearance level and status for government and defense roles
- Tools and frameworks: SIEM and EDR products, NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK
Name things the way the posting does
- List certifications by full name and acronym in a Certifications section: "Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)"
- State a clearance precisely: level and that it is active
- Name the product, not the category: "Splunk" and "CrowdStrike Falcon", not only "SIEM" and "EDR"
A real before and after
A sample soc analyst resume scored against a sample posting. Only two bullets and the Skills line changed. The second version names real experience in the posting's words.
