HVAC Technician resume keywords
EPA 608 certification is usually required, then the equipment and service work. These are the terms recruiters search the ATS for, written the way postings write them.
Licenses and certifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- OSHA 10
Skills and methods
- Preventive Maintenance
- Troubleshooting
- Blueprint Reading
Domain knowledge
- HVAC Systems
- Refrigeration Systems
- Customer Service
How to use them
- Use the posting's exact wording. If it says a term one way, write it that way at least once.
- List each license with its class and state: "CDL Class A, Illinois, with Hazmat endorsement"
- Name the machines and controls you ran, not only "operated equipment"
- Include apprenticeship hours and safety record if the posting asks
- Only list what is true for you. A keyword you can't back up in an interview costs more than it gains.
