Network Engineer resume keywords
Vendor certifications and routing, switching and firewall platforms, named by product. These are the terms recruiters search the ATS for, written the way postings write them.
Licenses and certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
Tools, systems and languages
- Cisco IOS
- Palo Alto Networks
Domain knowledge
- Routing and Switching
- BGP
- OSPF
- Firewall Management
- Virtual Private Network
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
How to use them
- Use the posting's exact wording. If it says a term one way, write it that way at least once.
- Give the platform and the scale: "managed Intune for 1,200 devices"
- Name networking fundamentals you used: DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs
- List certifications with their full names
- Only list what is true for you. A keyword you can't back up in an interview costs more than it gains.
