How ATS screens product and project management resumes
Product and project roles are screened on methods and outcomes. Recruiters look for the delivery framework (Agile, Scrum, PMP practices), the tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma) and evidence that something shipped and moved a metric.
What recruiters filter and search on
- Credentials such as PMP, CSM, PSM or SAFe, often listed as preferred
- Methods: roadmapping, discovery, prioritization, Agile and Scrum ceremonies, risk management
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Figma, product analytics such as Amplitude or Mixpanel
Name things the way the posting does
- Write the full credential with its acronym: "Project Management Professional (PMP)"
- Tie each launch to a metric: adoption, revenue, cycle time, on-time delivery
- State scope: team size, budget, number of stakeholders or workstreams
What trips up parsers in this field
- Bullets that describe meetings instead of decisions and results
- Design work shown only through a portfolio link with no text
- Mixing product and project titles so the role is unclear
